State Finals Results 2022

Division I: Dallas Parish Episcopal over Plano Prestonwood Christian (38-14) -- Correct
--The Lions put up a good battle, but the Panthers have been favorites for 3 full seasons at this point and have cashed in all the titles. A 4-peat that might be topped tomorrow by Shiner St. Paul. Parish has been impressive all year, and it will be fun to watch the drive for five. Congratulations to the Panthers on their 6th State Championship!

Division II: Sugar Land Fort Bend Christian over Fort Worth All Saints (42-30) -- Correct
--A meeting of 1st time TAPPS finalists saw the Eagles erase a small deficit with a huge 3rd quarter. The turnover bug got the Saints keeping them from securing the title. The Fort Bend offense was top of the division quality all season and delivered on the biggest stage. Congratulations to the Eagles on their 1st State Championship!

Division III: Dallas Christian over Houston Cypress Christian (24-0) -- Correct
--The Chargers defense proved the dominant unit to post back-to-back crowns for Dallas Christian. The Warriors with a game battle, but the big turnover happened at the start of the 2nd quarter and that proved to be all the margin DC needed. A big congratulations to the Chargers on their 10th State Championship.

Division IV: Shiner St. Paul over Lubbock Christian (57-20) -- Correct
--Eagles dominate the title game and the Cardinals are finally knocked from their perch atop Division IV. An incredible run by St. Paul to 4 straight titles, but they fall short for the first time since 2017. The one setback to Weatherford Christian was the aberration for Lubbock Christian as the Eagles average over 50 points per game for the season and win 3 playoffs games by a combined margin of 154 points. Congratulations to the Eagles on their 2nd State Championship!
