Division I: Dallas Parish Episcopal over Houston St. Thomas (40-29) -- Correct
--The Eagles had their chances, but Panthers secured enough points to claim yet another title. Maybe not as dominant as the last couple of titles, but Parish Episcopal is the TAPPS power right now after claiming a record 5th consecutive 11-man title. Congratulations to the Panthers on their 7th State Championship.
Division II: Argyle Liberty Christian School over Regents School of Austin (52-10) -- Correct
--Warriors dominated Division II all season and that continued right through the title game. Liberty won all 14 games this season by 28 or more. Buy your tickets for next year's district clash between the Parish Episcopal Panthers and Liberty Christian Warriors. Warriors finish an undefeated season and first title since 2007. Congratulations to the Warriors on their 4th State Championship.
Division III -- Dallas Christian over San
Antonio Holy Cross (28-13) -- Correct
--Chargers claim a 3rd straight title with a tight game for the 2nd straight week. The margin to the rest of Division III was definitely closer this year and with a large senior class graduating probably will be even closer next year. Big Congratulations to the Chargers on their TAPPS 11-man record 11th State Championship.
Division IV --
Dallas First Baptist over Lubbock Christian (55-33) -- Correct
--Saints offense proved to be the unstoppable force, and while the Eagles rallied they could not overcome the hole that FBA put them in. First Baptist secures an undefeated season and their first title since 2013. Eastern Dallas County claims both of the last two TAPPS football contests of 2023. DC and FBA are separated by just 5 miles. Congratulations to the Saints on their 2nd State Championship.
