State Final Results 2021

Division I -- Dallas Parish Episcopal over Midland Christian (56-17) -- Correct
--Dominant outing for the Panthers as the Mustangs were never able to get on track offensively. Parish Episcopal has been the top team in Division I since the start of 2019 and outside of one night against Nolan last year its been all Panthers all the time. Last year had some twists and turns, but this year was Panthers at the top from the opening kickoff in August. The Mustangs lose a championship game for the first time since 1990, a streak of 12 wins in a row when they reached the final. A valiant run to the title game for MCS. Congratulations to the Panthers on their 5th state championship!

Division II -- Dallas Christian over Houston Second Baptist (33-14) -- Correct
--The Chargers defense created 3 second half turnovers that stretched the margin to an insurmountable deficit. A game effort for the Eagles, but could not get into the endzone enough to take the title. While not Regents on the other side, a measure of redemption from last year's heart breaking defeat as the Chargers earn their first title since 2008. A very large congratulations to the Chargers on their 9th State Championship!

Division III -- Houston Cypress Christian over Lubbock Trinity Christian (16-7) -- Correct
--The Warriors outlasted the Lions in a defensive struggle. The Trinity defense nearly led them to the state title after limiting some of the higher regarded teams in Lubbock Christian and Grace Prep to just 13 points in 2 playoff wins. Cypress Christian finishes at 12-2 with no losses to Division III or IV opponents. Congratulations to the Warriors on their 2nd State Championship!

Division IV -- Shiner St. Paul over Muenster Sacred Heart (36-8) -- Correct
--The Cardinals were the top of the podium to start the year and bested all comers. The Tigers made a good run to the final, but were ultimately no match for the dominant TAPPS program of the last decade. This is 4 in a row for St. Paul. Congratulations to the Cardinals on their 10th State Championship!
