Semifinal Playoff Results 2023

73 wins both Division I semis? That's seems like a lot. Going to be a fun set of games in Waco next week.

This Week:

Dallas Christian over Lubbock Trinity Christian (24-14) -- Correct
--Chargers just get by a very good Lions squad. Should be a tight defensive game with Holy Cross next week.

San Antonio Holy Cross over Houston Cypress Christian (32-22) -- Correct
--Knights reach their 1st TAPPS final at last as they get the offense to match their usually strong defense.

Dallas Parish Episcopal over San Antonio Antonian (73-41) -- Correct
--Panthers offense was dominant even if the defense allowed a little bit more than you'd like to see. St. Thomas might be good enough to walk through that door if Parish leaves it open again.

Plano Prestonwood Christian over Houston St. Thomas (62-73) -- Wrong
--I undervalued the Eagles offense and it bit me. St. Thomas will be the best opponent that Parish has seen in their run of 5 straight Division I title games.

Argyle Liberty Christian over Fort Worth All Saints (45-17) -- Correct
--
Warriors with a test for half the game but answered the bell in the 2nd half to put it away. Certainly favored against Regents next week, but at least a little different flavor to see if someone can push them off the podium.

Austin Regents over Houston Second Baptist (34-7) -- Correct
--Knights with a decisive victory to return to the title game for the 1st time since 2020. Regents defense will need to as good next week in the title game.

Dallas First Baptist over Houston Northland Christian (49-28) -- Correct
--The Saints offense continues to spur it to victory. FBA one of just 3 undefeated teams in TAPPS 11-man.

Lubbock Christian over Hallettsville Sacred Heart (39-11) -- Correct
--Eagles return to the title game with another great defensive outing.

Week 14: 7-1
Season: 83-21

Quick Hits finishes the year 100-30
