Week 11 Results 2023

Maybe I need to find tougher games, but there were a lot of blowouts this week across the private schools. Should be a great postseason to get started next week.

This Week:

Bellaire Episcopal over Houston Kinkaid (35-25) -- Correct
--Once they beat Parish the Knights had to be the favorite in SPC 4A. It wasn't a linear path to the title, but they got there.

Fort Worth Trinity Valley over Houston Christian (30-27 2OT) -- Correct
--Trojans win SPC 3A in dramatic fashion, capping off an exciting season in the division.

Dallas Parish Episcopal over Plano Prestonwood Christian (49-40) -- Correct
--The Panthers survive and keep their spot at the top of the pile in Division I. Both teams will have a Round 1 bye and maybe marching to a rematch in the title game.

Houston St. Thomas over San Antonio Antonian (42-24) -- Correct
--The Apaches could not pull the upset a 2nd year in a row. Eagles will be the top candidate to crash the District 1 party in the playoffs.

Tyler Grace Community over Dallas The Covenant (52-21) -- Correct
--Cougars win the non-district finale. Grace finishes 2nd in District 2 and will face a difficult challenge from Midland Christian in round 1, but it will be at home. Knights will see a battle of Covenants with a trip to Colleyville in round 1.

Bullard Brook Hill over McKinney Christian (35-28) -- Correct
--A very game effort by the Mustangs, but they'll be on the outside of the playoffs. Guard get the 2nd spot and will host Lake Country in round 1.

Argyle Liberty Christian over Lubbock Trinity Christian (49-7) -- Correct
--Warriors continue to be the dominant squad in TAPPS this year. Hard to see who keeps them from the Division II crown. Lions have a 1st round bye after winning the district title.

Fort Worth Lake Country Christian over Arlington Grace Prep (14-40) -- Wrong
--Lions playing their best late in the season and should have a good chance at a road win against Brook Hill. Eagles get the tough task of going to Dallas Christian to open the playoffs.
